Details about the event:
The workshop aims to create a space for open discussion: What currently moves us with regard to the Palestine/Israel region? How do we perceive debates on this topic in Germany, and against what specific background do we discuss the issue in Germany? The focus is on anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian racism: we will approach these topics on a theoretical level and discuss the extent to which these phenomena are related. We will practice recognizing anti-Semitism and racism in the context of the Middle East conflict using concrete examples, talk about the effects on those affected, and discuss how we can respond to anti-Semitic or racist statements.
