As part of the “Fürth Celebrates Diversity” festival (April 24 to May 10), Ramy Abdin, research assistant specializing in Islam at the Bavarian Research Center for Interreligious Discourse (BaFID), will give a lecture on the topic of "Redpilled? Zwischen Technologie, Endzeit und Verschwörung".

“[Neo] This is your last chance. Take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. Take the red pill—you stay here in Wonderland...” (Morpheus, from the 1999 film “The Matrix”) Techno-apostles such as Peter Thiel, Yuval Harari, and Ray Kurzweil see the salvation of humanity in exponential technological advancement. What is this promise of salvation all about? An insight from religious studies should provide some clarification.

Induction loop available: Hearing aid/CI users can receive signals from an inductive hearing system.
