This winter semester 2024/2025, BaFID is hosting a public lecture series on the topic of "Interreligious aspects of communicating values in current public discourses".

On 10 September 2024, the conference "How much religion does democracy need?" took place at the Hanns Seidel Foundation Conference Centre in Munich. BaFID Director Prof. Georges Tamer attended in the discussion.

In June 2024, Scharrer Middle School received the Etz Chaim Cup, which is awarded by the Gesellschaft für Christlich-Jüdische Zusammenarbeit in Franken e.V. (GCJZ) for projects that emphasize and promote cooperation and mutual respect between the three monotheistic religions. The school approached BaFID with a request for support in organizing an interfaith workshop.

There are concepts that occur in all three major monotheistic religions. Scientists from all over the world discuss these and present their findings annually at the conference series ‘Key Concepts in Interreligious Discourses’ at FAU Erlangen.
